Always love a mail day! We are so pumped to be partnering with the State of Hawaii in offering hearing screening to our Ohana. Early detection of hearing loss allows families to start supportive services sooner, greatly improving speech and language outcomes for affected children. We can now offer this screening as part of our routine postpartum care. The process is gentle and noninvasive, best done while pēpē is asleep in your arms. As always, if this screening is not a good fit for your family, you are welcome to decline.

Somewhere along the way, mainstream culture decided that homebirth was for hippies and crunchy granola moms. When the answer is honestly quite the opposite. Homebirth is the way humans were born for millennia before doctors and hospitals were created. In fact, hospital birth is honestly brand spanking new in the timeline of humans. Don’t fall for the media hype, Homebirth is not just for hippies. Homebirth is for anyone who has ever wanted more time care and attention during pregnancy, anyone who wants to birth the way they want to and on their own timeline. Homebirth might even be for you.

Did you know that you don’t have to be planning on birthing at home to benefit from midwifery care? We firmly believe that every one should birth in the place they feel best- midwives can still offer excellent prenatal and postpartum care concurrent with your hospital provider. Our visits typically range 45min to an hour long and include plenty of space for your questions and discussion in addition to a thorough clinical exam where we can map out your babies location and position.

The first few weeks of pregnancy can be quite a rollercoaster— do you need a little support? No matter where you plan to birth our midwives are available- from early labs to questions about nutrition , supplements and safety- we really dig answering your questions and walking along as your family expands.
