Let's talk soups to help support the lungs:
warm broths and stews are excellent for the lungs, digestive health and nutrition. Add mineral rich veggies, spices (oregano aids in getting rid of mucous), veggies like onions, garlic and scallions help open the pores to sweat and get rid of mucous in nose, throat & chest. Small amount of ginger aids in digestions and blood circulation. Using bone broth will turn everything more nutrient dense.

In continuation of my previous post, here are foods to avoid:
bananas
peanuts
peanut butter
sugar
high glycemic foods
dairy
too many raw foods like: salads, smoothies, juice
*if you are going to have a salad, smoothie or juice follow it up with hot tea or add tiny amount of ginger, or garlic to help with digestion.

Tip 6 to help support your lungs is these supplements: Vitamin C, preferably from a whole food source, like acerola powder;
Zinc;
Selenium;
Iron;
Copper;
Folate, that is methylated;
Vitamin A, oil 10,000IU, not beta-carotene;
Vitamin E;
Vitamin D;
Vitamin B6;
L-Lysine, an amino acid which is good for immune & skin conditions;
Mushrooms: Reishi & Cordyceps;
Red Clover flowers: tea steeped for 30 minutes for swollen glands;
***Beta-Glucans for Upper Respiratory Infections caused by viruses, even for covid 19.

Tip 7 is to increase your water and electrolytes. Avoid: alcohol, smoking and stress. Find ways to minimize and deal with stress effectively, rest and try to get the best nights of sleep that you can. Extra points for meditation, yoga and exercise.

Numbers 4 & 5 from my "8 Ways to Support Lung Health" live stream are:

4) Irrigate your nose. You can use a neti pot, or nasal spritz with saline. This will help keep your nose clean from dirt, pollen and microbes.

5) Take baths. Baths are excellent ways to help support your lungs and muscles. Add at least 1 cup of epsom salts. You can also add essential oils. Eucalyptus, On Guard are good options. You can also diffuse essential oils. Just do not ingest them.

I'll be posting the information I gave during my Facebook Live talk "8 Ways to Support Lung Health" this week. Here are numbers 1-3:

1. Stay Warm during chilly, dewy, breezy moments outside or inside. Layer up to protect your Defensive energy. Be especially careful of covering up your neck.
2. Rub your palms together 30 times and place on face on either side of your nose. Palm rub 30 times and place hands on skin over kidneys. Palm rub 30 times and place hands over the bottom of each foot.
3. Gargle with warm salt water. Use 1/2 teaspoon of salt per 8 oz of water.

To my patients, friends and extended family,

After much consideration I have decided to suspend all person-to-person treatments. I feel this is a critical time to protect those most vulnerable by self isolation and encourage you to do the same. I know most of my patients rely on weekly treatments to manage pain, boost immune systems, and keep general well being, not to mention support your more delicate and complex medical conditions. I’m sorry I can’t be there to support you physically with acupuncture. What I can offer you is another powerful facet of Chinese medicine, which is herbalism.

By offering sliding scale acupuncture, we’ve been able to support your health conditions almost solely with acupuncture. Chinese herbal medicine is just as powerful. So I’m happy to announce I’ll be offering telemedicine appointments via the app: Zoom (FYI: you’ll need to download the app onto your computer and/or phone in order to engage on this platform). Virtual appointments will be 15-20 minute consults, sliding scale $15-$30.

I’ve been a practitioner of Chinese medicine for almost 20 years and am well versed in herbal formulations. Just as there’s an acupuncture point to treat what ails you, there’s a formula to treat your health condition, be it physical or emotional. We can discuss ongoing issues or anything new that pops up. Also note, that I am taking a class on how to specifically treat coronavirus/COVID-19. Please refer anyone that tests positive to me. In China, 85% of those diagnosed with the virus were treated with Chinese herbal medicine with 90% stabilization rates. Like I said, powerful.

I hope you will let me help you stay healthy during this stressful time. You can book appointments only online via Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/monicabradnanap/
Hours are: Monday & Tuesday 2pm-6pm, Thursday & Friday 9am-1pm. Payments will be collected at the time of visit via, Cash app, Paypal or Square. Thank you.

Endometriosis can be an extremely debilitating menstrual disorder to the ladies who have it. Most women who have this condition will agree the pain and discomfort interferes with their daily life to the point that they will be bed-ridden during their period. What makes endometriosis worse is that it usually is partnered with irregular periods & PMS so she will never know exactly when she’ll be dealing with the excruciating pain that might throw her life off track, creating stress and another level of problems to deal with.
