The Festivals of Louisiana at Sage Oak continued today with the Rosepine Rose Festival!

From flower bingo, beachball volleyball, crafted rose-themed picture frames, and rose-infused lemonade…the day was filled with the sweet scent of roses and friendship

Lunch bloomed with flavor thanks to our chefs’ special menu:

🌿 Herbed Rice Pilaf

🦞✨ National Assisted Living Week 2025: Festivals of Louisiana at Sage Oak! ✨🦞

Today our residents “traveled” to the Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival—because no Louisiana celebration is complete without a little pinch, peel, and party!

We decorated crawfish-shaped sugar cookies baked by Assistant Executive Director, Stephinie Cross…colored our own crawfish masterpieces, and swapped stories about our favorite ways to enjoy Cajun classic. A festival video tour brought the sights and sounds of Breaux Bridge right to our living room.

The grand finale? An incredible crawfish tasting menu prepared by our talented chefs:

National Assisted Living Week 2025: Festivals of Louisiana at Sage Oak!

🎭✨ Today our residents “traveled” to SWLA Mardi Gras…because what else could Tuesday be but Fat Tuesday?
💜💚💛

We kicked things off with a Mardi Gras–themed exercise session, dancing to festive music and tossing beads to strengthen gross motor skills. Residents shined as they designed colorful masks, sampled King Cake & shared their favorite Mardi Gras memories from years past.

And of course, no Mardi Gras celebration is complete without Louisiana flavors! Today’s menu featured:

🍤 Fried Shrimp Poboys
🍽️ Hushpuppies
🥔 Zapp’s Potato Chips
🥧 Pecan Pie à la Mode

Purple, Green, and Golden Years Past… but still making Special Memories that Last here at Sage Oak.

🍉Today we kicked things off with the Beauregard Watermelon Festival! 🍉

Our theme — “Our Residents are ONE IN A MELON” — came to life with bright décor, Watermelon Bingo, a fun craft, and a fresh festival-inspired menu from our kitchen team:

❤️Pan-seared salmon with watermelon salsa
💚Watermelon slaw
❤️Watermelon pizza slices topped with yogurt & berries

And of course, no festival would be complete without fresh watermelon slices and punch for snack time!

What a sweet way to start Assisted Living Week — and this is only day one. Stay tuned for more celebrations! 🥰

🌍✈️ If you saw Sunday’s International Week menu post, you know our residents dined their way around the world! But the magic wasn’t limitedto the kitchen!

We brought Italy, Germany, Jamaica, England, and Greece to life with themed crafts, movies, photo booths, and activities that matched each day’s cuisine. Every day was a celebration of culture and community.

And it wasn’t just our residents having fun. Our amazing team joined in too, dressing up, dancing, and making each “destination” feel extra special 💕

🌍 When our culinary and activities teams put their heads together, the results are just too delicious to wait for Tasty Tuesday!

This week, our residents went on a flavorful adventure around the world…no passport required! ✈️🍽️

A huge round of applause to Chef Nichole Guynes for crafting a global tour of tastes that had everyone talking. From hearty comfort food to Mediterranean flair, every dish was a hit!

We “traveled” to a different country each day:
