Memory Care really knows how to throw a New Years Eve celebration!

While the world welcomed the New Year, our Memory Care community was still laughing, reminiscing, and ringing in 2026 in their own meaningful way.

There were smiles, sweet moments, familiar faces, and the kind of joy that doesn’t depend on fireworks or countdowns. Just connection.

As we step into a new year, we wish our residents, families, and team a year filled with comfort, good health, gentle moments, and plenty of reasons to smile.

🎉 Early birds rang in the New Year at Sage Oak! 🎉

Before the clock struck midnight, our residents were already celebrating. Party hats on, noisemakers ready, and stories flowing!

We spent the afternoon sharing favorite New Year’s memories, laughing about celebrations past, and welcoming 2026 together in the best way we know how… with joy, connection, and a whole lot of heart.

There’s something special about starting the year surrounded by people who have lived so many beautiful chapters and still know how to celebrate the moment.

🎄🎁🍪 Memory Care | December Moments 🍪🎁🎄

December in Memory Care was about more than festivities. It was about comfort, familiarity, connection, and joy that meets each resident exactly where they are.

This month, our residents celebrated the season through hands-on experiences tied to themed days. They made “snowmen” during Winter Wonderland, baked cookies, enjoyed peppermint pudding and ice cream, created gingerbread houses, made sparkly snowglobes and soaked in all the small moments that make the season feel special.

Our team members showed up (some even on their days off) to prepare, to be present, and to help residents look and feel their best! Families joined in, memories were made together, and Christmas Day itself was filled with a special celebration!

This is Memory Care done with intention.

Great care. Great food. Great communication.

And most importantly, great heart.

🎄 🎩 Christmas Brunch – House 2 🎩 🎄

House Two’s Christmas brunch was the perfect blend of great food, great company, and holiday fun.

Families gathered to enjoy a delicious brunch while catching up, meeting one another, and sharing in the kind of easy fellowship that makes Sage Oak feel like home.

This time of year often becomes the moment when families meet for the first time. It’s always a special magic to watch the shared long-time connections alongside the joy of new ones!

The room came alive during a competitive round of The Price Is Right, complete with cheers, laughs, and plenty of playful energy. Of course, no Christmas brunch is complete without our photos by the tree, capturing memories that will be treasured long after the decorations come down.

What a beautiful morning and wonderful way to celebrate the season together. 🎄✨

🎄✨🎶 Music Filled the Houses This Christmas 🎶✨🎄

One of the greatest gifts of the season was the sound of music echoing through every Sage Oak House!

Throughout December, our residents were treated to beautiful performances from several wonderful community groups who generously shared their time and talents with us. From familiar carols to joyful harmonies, each visit brought warmth, connection, and moments that stopped us all in our tracks to simply listen and enjoy.

A heartfelt thank you to:

• Trinity Baptist Church’s Sonshine Singers
• T.S. Cooley Elementary Magnet School Choir
• Simon Learning Camp & Santa

These visits created meaningful moments for our residents and reminded us just how powerful music can be in bringing people together.

We are so grateful to our community partners for filling our homes with holiday spirit and song!

🎄🍪✨A Sweet Suprise ✨ 🍪 🎄

On Gingerbread Day, a few members of our leadership team decided to do something a little unexpected!

They suited up, stepped into inflatable gingerbread and nutcracker costumes, and made their way from house to house, much to the surprise and absolute delight of our residents!

Sometimes it’s the simplest things that create the biggest joy. A little silliness. A lot of heart. And leaders willing to show up in whatever way brings a smile.

We’d call that a successful Gingerbread Day!

🎄 Christmas Brunch – House Three 🎄

There’s something special about a Christmas brunch at Sage Oak, and House Three delivered in the best way!

The morning was filled with beautiful food, warm fellowship, and the kind of lively conversation that happens when families gather around the same table. This time of year is especially meaningful as loved ones who may not have met before get to connect, share stories, and realize they’re part of something bigger than just a visit.

Add in a spirited game of The Price Is Right, plenty of laughter, and our annual tradition of family photos by the Christmas tree, and it made for a morning that felt joyful, relaxed, and full of heart.

Moments like these are what the season is all about❤️

💚❤️We are so thankful to the group from Christian Baptist Church who joined us this evening to sing Christmas carols for our residents.

🎄The smiles were big, the singing was loud, and there was even a little dancing mixed in. Our residents truly enjoyed every moment singing along, clapping, and soaking in the joy of the season.🎄

Thank you for sharing your time, voices, and Christmas spirit with our Sage Oak family. Moments like these mean more than you know. ❤️💚

💙 A Very Special Thank You 💙

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Denise Horne, one of our wonderful Memory Care resident’s daughters, for sharing her time, talent, and heart with our House 6 community.

Denise came in with a beautiful idea and turned it into something truly meaningful. She sat with our residents as they carefully chose their fabrics, traced their hands, and shared laughter along the way. After we cut out each handprint, Denise took the project home and lovingly stitched everything together into this stunning quilt.

The excitement when the finished quilt returned was priceless. Every hand tells a story, and together they now create a piece of art that represents connection, creativity, and care.

This quilt now hangs in a place of honor in House 6, where it will be admired daily and cherished for years to come. Thank you, Denise, for giving our residents a project they could be part of from start to finish and a keepsake that truly belongs to them. 💙🧵

Moments like this are what community is all about!

🎄✨ Advanced Care Christmas Brunch ✨🎄

Our Advanced Care house also gathered for a Christmas brunch that felt tender, joyful, and filled with the kind of connection that matters most. Residents and families sat shoulder to shoulder, sharing a morning that blended comfort, celebration, and the steady presence of the care team who loves them so well.

The brunch menu was a holiday feast. Waffles topped with berries and whipped cream, warm sliders, and a bright display of Christmas parfaits made the whole kitchen feel festive. The hot cocoa and mimosa bar added a little sparkle, and plates never stayed empty for long.

What made this morning shine were the moments in between. Hugs from staff who know every preference and every story. Families leaning in close for photos, savoring time together at a slower pace. Even a round of Family Feud brought out some friendly competition and plenty of smiles!

Advanced Care carries its own kind of magic, quiet but powerful. It’s in the way families show up. It’s in the dedication of the team. It’s in each resident whose presence gives this house its heart.
