Safety Starts at Home. “According to the CDC, drowning is the leading cause of death for children ages 1 to 4, and most of those happen in backyard pools.” We encourage you to seek swimming lessons and safety classes, so whether you’re at home, traveling, or visiting friends, that your child has their best chance of being safe and reducing the risk of a heartbreaking tragedy.
