📢 Important Update for Our Seniors

As of November, the extra SNAP (food stamp) benefits many have relied on will be coming to an end. We know this change can make it difficult to stretch your grocery budget, but you don’t have to go through it alone.

🍽️ Your local Council on Aging offers nutritious meals and a chance to connect with others through our local meal sites across the parish.

Laurie Deslatte, Senior Living Advisor for Acadiana, has over 16 years of experience in the senior living industry.

She has volunteered as Vice President and President of the Louisiana Assisted-living Association, is an active member of the Youngsville Rotary Club, and serves on the board for the Vermilion Council on Aging.

She has been married to her husband Jarrod for 14 years, and together they have a 12-year-old son. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering with local nonprofit organizations and is passionate about reading. Guided by her faith, she strives to be the hands and feet of Jesus in everything she does.
