SWLA Center for Health Services is now accepting applications for our 2026 Grow Your Own Internship Program!

Our eight-week paid summer internship program is designed to provide high school students and incoming college freshman with hands-on exposure to the healthcare field.

🩺 Eligibility Requirements include:
~ Must be a sophomore, junior or senior in high school or incoming college freshman, with an interest in healthcare
~ Must be 16 years of age or older
~ Have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA
~ Submit a SWLA employment application, resume and transcript
~ Successfully pass pre-employment screening, including a drug screen

The 2026 SWLA CHS Scholarship Program is NOW LIVE!🎉🎉

SWLA Center for Health Services is excited to award a one-time $1,000.00 scholarship, in the month of July, to six (6) eligible high school seniors to assist them with college tuition in the fall.

These scholarships are competitive and are available to students, who are pursuing higher education at a (4) year accredited university or college.

The application deadline is Friday, March 20, 2026 at 2:00pm.

👋 Meet our Endocrinologist, Dr. Ghyass Rizk!

Dr. Rizk is a board-certified Endocrinologist, who specializes in diagnosing and managing hormonal imbalances and related health conditions, such as diabetes, thyroid disorders and infertility.

With over 23 years of experience, Dr. Rizk is excited to work with SWLA Center for Health Services as we introduce the addition of our newest medical specialty: Endocrinology. This expanded service will allow us to provide patients with comprehensive, specialized care tailored to their unique hormonal and metabolic health needs.

SWLA Center for Health Services will be closed TOMORROW, February 17, 2026, in observance of Mardi Gras.

All sites will reopen with normal business hours on Wednesday, February 18th.
