February is Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) & Low Vision Awareness Month. But what does that mean exactly? AMD affects central vision and is the most common cause of severe loss of eyesight among people 50 and older. Low vision is categorized by partial sight or sight that cannot be fixed with glasses, contact lenses, surgeries, or medication.
