Horses can sleep standing up or lying down, talk about flexible nap schedules! 🐴💤

Thanks to a special system in their legs called the "stay apparatus", horses can lock their joints and doze while standing without falling over. This helps them stay alert and ready to move if needed. When they really need deep, restful sleep (REM sleep), they’ll lie down, usually only when they feel safe and comfortable. Proof that even the best nappers need the right environment to fully relax 💙

We were very honored to attend and support the Reins Of Hope Christmas event at The Stables at LeBocage! Reins of Hope is a non-profit therapeutic riding program that helps riders with physical or emotional/social challenges achieve their fullest potential through the unique and powerful connection with horses. The venue was very festive and the event really showcased the holiday spirit and the reason for the season! 🎄🎅️🐴❤️
