As some of you may know, last week was National Assisted Living Week! This year the sponsor, Ageless Adventure, wanted to bring focus to the memorable moments for those in Assisted Living. As an Assisted Living Facility, we care deeply for our Residents and wanted to bring back some of their childhood through fun games and activities! Monday was “Hydration Day” our Residents were encouraged to wear blue and join us outside for some water balloon games with prizes sponsored by Mrs. Jackie with Christus HomeCare! 💦🎈💙 Tuesday was “Red and White Day” our Residents were encouraged to wear red and white, we had a Memorable Moments meeting sponsored by Mrs. Pam with CenterWell Home Health! We also had rootbeer floats in the afternoon sponsored by Mrs. Keely and Mrs. Noel from Heart of Hospice! ❤️🍩🥤Wednesday was “Crazy Hair Day” where Residents and Employees didn’t brush their hair! We also had a cupcake decorating class with our Resident Care Director, Mrs. Naomy! 🧁💇🏼♀️ Thursday was “Carnival Day” our Residents played so many fun games, ate yummy popcorn donated by Mrs. Christi with Brighton Bridge Hospice, and won some great prizes! In the afternoon they enjoyed some delicious carnival treats donated by Mrs. Katelyn with Home Instead and played their most favorite game of all, Wack-a-Becky! 🍿🥜🎟️ Friday was “Villa Spirit Day” Residents wore their best Villa shirts and played a scavenger hunt in the morning and won some gift baskets sponsored by Mrs. Kayla with Aging with Grace! In the afternoon they enjoyed our ice cream bar, put together by our Activity Director Amanda. They also had the chance to win prizes in a raffle, with donations of gift baskets from Carmichael’s, gift certificates from Amber with Roaming Relaxation, gift cards from Katelyn with Home Instead, gift cards from Villa Maria, and yummy pound cakes from Miss Keyona! We finished off the week with a special bingo game sponsored by Miss Tasha where our Residents won lots of money! 🍦💰 This past week was so much fun for the Employees and the Residents and we so hope that we were able to help our Residents relive some of their childhood days, and to let loose and have fun! Thank you to everyone who participated and donated their time and resources to our activities! Heres to another great year, God Bless! 🙏🏻✝️🩷
