I don’t have much to say except God is glorious! Sharing the gospel can sometimes be nerve wrecking because you want to make sure you do it justice.

✨You want to make sure you don’t come off harsh.

✨You want to make sure you are being loving.

✨You want to be sure you aren’t shoving religion down someone’s throat.

✨You want to be sure you’re not coming off judgmental.

But all the Lord needs is a willing & obedient vessel. He doesn’t need perfection. To be honest I missed the opportunity to enjoy the moment because I rushed through it due to nerves. I’m just now reflecting on it.I am grateful 🙌🏾 God has chosen me to deliver the good news through maternal health. I couldn’t ask for a more divine opportunity to do such. My heart is full.

Can I tell you a secret? …

🤯 Birthing on your back is the least optimal way of delivering your baby. Why?

✨ It narrows the pelvis.
Have you heard someone say “my pelvis was too small so I had to have a c section” … chances are her pelvis was “too small” because she was laying on her back.

✨ It defies gravity.
Being in an upright position allows your body to work with gravity to push baby out instead of you having to do all the work and overworking your muscles.

✨ It can be uncomfortable.
Often times when we are in pain it helps to move around and get in a more comfortable position. This could be on all fours, sitting down, standing up, on your side, etc.

There are so many different ways to not only labor but deliver your baby! Don’t be afraid to move around and change positions 😉

What is a nesting shower?

Similar to a baby shower however it not only supports the needs for the baby but also for the needs of the mother. A nesting shower can include more than just gifts for the baby and also is acts of service for mom:
✨light cleaning
✨organizing baby supplies
✨doing laundry
✨washing dishes
✨moping/sweeping floors
✨bringing food

Hi there!!! I am a certified doula in the Lake Area region with the greatest passion for women during one of their most vulnerable phases of life, PREGNANCY. I obtained my Masters Degree in healthcare administration after earning my Bachelor of Arts in child development and soon began working in childcare, social services, early intervention, and managed care over a 10 year period. Some years later I was inspired to enter into the holy work of child birth achieving my certification and becoming a Winner Flow Instructor. I believe women’s bodies are divinely empowered to birth their babies and I’m continuing to further my expertise in the area of perinatal holistic health.

A few fun facts✨

Currently I volunteer at the Pregnancy Resource Center and enjoy leading worship at my local church as well as caring for infants in the nursery. My favorite hobby is scrapbooking and event planning. I was born and raised in California, but decided to reunite with my extended family in South Louisiana and moved permanently 5 years ago. My greatest joy is spending time with my nephew and having movie nights with family and friends.
