Partners in Physical Therapy

Partners in Physical Therapy Physical/Occupational Therapy, Mental Health and Diagnostic Tools to help you meet your goals.

Physical Therapists (PTs) are healthcare professionals who diagnose and treat individuals of all ages, from newborns to the elderly, who have medical problems or other health related conditions that limit their abilities to move and perform functional activities in their daily lives. PTs examine each individual and develop a plan of care using treatment techniques to promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability. Physical Therapists also work with individuals to prevent the loss of mobility by developing fitness and wellness oriented programs for healthier and more active lifestyles. When people think of Physical Therapy, exercise seems to be the first thing that comes to mind. The Profession of Physical Therapy is so much more than exercise!!

This past weekend, Partners in Physical Therapy was honored to support Families for Inclusion at their annual “The Shine” Golf Tournament. The weather was amazing, and so was the event that brought together our community for a weekend of fun, connection, and purpose.

Families for Inclusion is a non-profit organization whose mission is to make SWLA more inclusive and accessible for people with disabilities. Their work is a powerful reminder of what true inclusion looks like:

“Accessibility removes barriers so people can enter the room; inclusion ensures they have a seat at the table and their voice is valued once they’re there.” - Founder Julia Bourgeois

This vision reflects our shared commitment: removing barriers to care and ensuring every patient and family feels welcomed, respected, and empowered on their journey.

We’re grateful to stand alongside Families for Inclusion, and we celebrate the success of The Shine in raising awareness and support for such important work.
