UPDATE - 1/26/2026: We will resume normal business hours tomorrow, Tuesday, 1/27/2026.

❄️ NHCC Update: Severe Weather Conditions ❄️

For the safety of our clients and staff, New Horizons Counseling Center, LLC will be closed on Monday due to the severe cold weather.

Our admin staff will be working remotely and will do their best to answer or return any calls made to the office tomorrow.

All clients with appointments have been notified and switched to telehealth if they chose to.

We will provide an update regarding Tuesday’s office status, depending on weather conditions.

Wishing everyone safety and warmth during this weather.

Attention‼️ UnitedHealthcare Medicaid members:

Louisiana Medicaid is making changes to health plan options for 2026.

If you are currently with UnitedHealthcare, you’ll have a special enrollment period from January 15 – February 15, 2026 to choose your new plan.

If you take no action, Medicaid will assign you to a plan — and they will do their best to keep families together and keep you with a plan that allows you to continue seeing your current doctor.

You can choose your new plan by:
📞 Calling 1-855-229-6848 (Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm)
💻 Visiting myplan.healthy.la.gov
📱 Using the Healthy Louisiana app (Google Play or App Store)

UnitedHealthcare members will remain covered under UHC until March 31, 2026.
New plans begin April 1, 2026.

Medicaid members currently on UnitedHealthcare will be moved to a new Medicaid health plan by April 1, 2026.
