Carter’s Confident Care at the APD Recruitment Fair

This week, our team had the opportunity to participate in the APD Recruitment Fair at Tacachale in Gainesville, which provided a great chance to connect with other providers and meet professionals who are passionate about serving individuals with disabilities.

A special shoutout to Latterion, our Administrative Assistant, for taking the lead on this event. He coordinated our setup, represented our agency with professionalism, and made sure our table reflected the heart of Carter’s Confident Care. His preparation and follow through helped us show up strong and share the work we do across North Florida.

Proud of our team and grateful for moments like this that push our mission forward.

Today, we recognize a remarkable veteran who continues to serve our community with dedication.

Mr. Dwight Carter, husband of our founder Blenda Jones Carter, served in the United States Army from 1981 to 1985, completing assignments in Germany and Korea. After his military service, he began a career with the Florida Department of Corrections, where he has worked for nearly 40 years and continues to serve today.

His commitment, integrity, and steady leadership are an inspiration to our team and the clients we support. We thank him for his service to our country and for his ongoing service to the state of Florida.

Today, we pause to honor every veteran who has served our country with courage and conviction. At Carter’s Confident Care, this day holds special meaning. We are grateful to care for more than 60 veterans in our community, and we are proud of our ongoing partnership with the VA Community Care Program that allows us to support their health and independence every day.

Carter’s Confident Care was proud to take part in today’s Lake City–Columbia County Veterans Day Parade, hosted by the American Legion 3rd District - Florida. We’re grateful for the opportunity to honor the brave men and women who have served our country.

As a proud VA Community Care partner, Carter’s Confident Care is honored to serve more than 60 veterans right here in our community, providing compassionate, quality care for those who’ve given so much for us all.
