Trust the Process,
the breaking is the beginning
the triggers only point to unhealed parts of your heart so you can attend to them,
But every time you invite Him in He can and will save us
on an intimate personal level and bring new life ! Hold on
fix your eyes on eternal things,
until the miracle happens,
...and maybe this is what
it feels like to become whole.
Maybe everything around you
has to break apart.
The ruins have to tumble,
the tables have to be overturned.
Maybe the waves have to rise up
and wash away all that you knew
because what you knew was not healthy.
Maybe the walls had to crash to the ground
so that a new temple could be rebuilt within your heart...
the idols had to fall apart,
the tearing of your garments had to happen.
The deepest places of your heart had to be cut open.
The strongholds had to fall and the chains
that you didn't know were there had to break.
Maybe this is what it means to become a new
creation...everything you thought you knew
has to be left behind.
Maybe this place that feels like a wasteland
is the very place that the most holy work is done.
Maybe this is where the Christ comes
to shine His light into your darkness so that
you could become free.
Maybe this place isn't the end but only the beginning
because when Christ comes He disrupts the old ways, the old patterns and the unhealthy beliefs.
He casts down the lies,
and places our feet upon the Rock.
He strips away the things that must go
and gives us new eyes and ears to see and
hear the truth.
In the moment it can feel jarring,
unsettling and uncomfortable but He doesn't
come in to harm but to heal.
Maybe this is the very place where we
see His resurrection in our own hearts and lives.
What feels like the end,
what feels like death,
what feels like the enemy has won,
what feels like destruction is really
a set up for the King to make a way.
Yes, maybe this place of barrenness
is where you are made whole.
