We’re often taught that the key to health is food—and while nutrition matters, it’s only part of the picture.

Yes, keeping it simple helps:
Eat real foods.
Choose things that come from the earth, not a bag or a box.

But there are six keys to health… and one of the most overlooked is physical activity.

Here are a few facts worth thinking about:

• Physical inactivity is the 4th leading risk factor for global mortality
• In the U.S., 8.3% of deaths are linked to lack of movement

And the impact of moving your body?

✔️ Reduces risk of coronary heart disease by 20–30%
✔️ Lowers risk of Type 2 Diabetes by 31%
✔️ Decreases risk of colon cancer by 17–30%
✔️ Decreases risk of breast cancer by 20–30%

The goal isn’t perfection—it’s consistency.

👉 Aim for 150 minutes of moderate activity per week
That’s just 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week

Walk. Dance. Stretch. Lift. Move.

Your body was designed for it.

Happy Monday🩷
This week... practice mindfulness in allowing your nervous system to rest.

As Americans, we spend much of our time in the SympatheticNervous System (fight or flight) vs our Parasympathetic System(feed and breed ).
This chronic disorientation of our Nervous systems leads to chronic fatigue, inflammation, gut health disruption, mental health imbalance.

So, this week... Be intentional.
🩷Go for a slower, longer walk outdoors

🩷Place three hard stops in your day: Morning, Afternoon, Evening - 15 minutes of something you love to allow your system to rest (not social media scrolling)

🩷Laugh with someone you love

🩷Dance, sing ... Do something that brings you joy.

🩷Practice yoga/stretching

And yes, You have time! Make this a priority. Arrange your day... make space for this. Be kind to your body and allow it to be kind to you 🤍

4 weeks into detox:
Added in fruit to diet last week ... sticking with low glycemic or low sugar fruits such as berries

Wins:
🥗macro balance- hitting food goals. I have continued to work and add more protein to my diet with small things like cottage cheese in my eggs, collagen to my AG1, high protein snacks.
🧘🏼‍♀️Consistency in the gym- 4 days a week minimum yoga/ pilates
😴 restorative sleep, but I was struggling immensely with prior to starting this.

Week 3 added Vitamin B complex with fat burner injections and B12. Taking my vitamins otherwise daily, shake plate 1-2 times daily

Things I'm still working on:
Getting daily cardio in🏃🏼‍♀️
Continuing to control my stress and improve my mental health 🧠🩷

I am pretty proud of my progress as I have started my Doctoral Program last month also which has me sitting and reading much more than I really want

I am sharing with you all to help you see...
1) Lifestyle changes make a difference
2) If it is a priority... you will make it happen!

Make your health a priority!!! If you need some guidance, let me help!

One of the Six Pilars of Health is Physical Activity. Below are the CDC recommendations for activity at each phase of life.

❔Are you meeting these goals?

🗓️If not, make a plan! It is a new month... get your body moving!!

You may not accomplish this in one week and that is OK! Start somewhere... Be consistent and KEEP GOING!
