Sometimes self-abandonment doesn’t look dramatic.
It looks responsible.
It looks strong.
It looks like being the one who “holds it all together.”
But slowly, it can look like losing yourself.
Saying yes when your body needed rest.
Fixing everyone else before tending to your own wounds.
Shrinking to keep the peace.
Calling survival “strength.”
Waiting for permission to need something.
You deserve the same care, grace, and compassion you so freely give to everyone else.
Healing often begins when you stop abandoning yourself. 🤍
If this resonates with you, you’re not alone.
