but it’s also freeing.

Most of us don’t choose what’s healthy at first.
We choose what feels familiar.
What feels like “home.”
What matches the kind of love we learned early on.

So we end up in different relationships…
with the same dynamic.
Same disappointment.
Same confusion.
Same emotional exhaustion.

That doesn’t mean you’re broken.
It means your nervous system learned a version of love that involved inconsistency, overgiving, or emotional chasing.

And it keeps trying to recreate that story — hoping this time it will finally end differently.

Awareness changes everything.
Because once you can name the pattern,
you can start choosing something new.

Be gentle with yourself.
You weren’t choosing pain on purpose.
You were choosing what you were taught love looks like. 💛
