We welcomed Lynne to our facility this afternoon for a fascinating presentation about the history of Calhoun County Historical Society.

Lynne volunteers with the Calhoun County Museum and brought along several memorabilia items and mementos that originated in Calhoun County. She shared many interesting stories and historical facts—some of which were new to all of us!

Our nurses are the heart of our community. They bring comfort, kindness, and dedication to our residents and their families, always going above and beyond to ensure the highest quality of care. Their hard work, expertise, and unwavering commitment make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.

The facility recently hosted a special appreciation event for our wonderful volunteers. Residents joined in for a delightful dessert social as we recognized and celebrated all that our volunteers do. Following the recognition, everyone enjoyed time spent visiting and connecting. Each volunteer was presented with a bright ge**er daisy as a small token of our gratitude to take home.

During a recent inservice, two team members were recognized for their outstanding contributions. Danielle was honored for Social Service Month, and Deb was celebrated for an incredible 38 years of dedication to residents, team members, family members, and volunteers. A heartfelt thank you goes out to both of these amazing women for all they do each and every day! 🌟

When asked what their favorite part of their job is, Danielle shared her thoughts on working closely with residents and families and supporting them through meaningful moments.

Deb reflected on the many changes she has seen in long-term care over the years, and expressed that her favorite part of her job is helping to provide quality of life for residents. She enjoys offering new opportunities—sometimes things they have never tried before—and ends each day knowing she has made a difference by helping fill their day with purpose, activity, and joy.

Getting ready for the Easter season with a sweet baking activity! 🐣🧁

Life Enrichment Assistant Deb and residents spent time together making delicious vanilla cupcakes. They were decorated with homemade buttercream frosting dyed green, coconut tinted to look like grass, and topped with bunny Peeps and festive Easter-colored M&M’s.

Those who attended the baking group also enjoyed reminiscing about time spent in the kitchen, sharing memories of preparing their favorite Easter dishes. It was a wonderful mix of creativity, conversation, and connection. 💛
