The Lake Forest Police Association is a civic organization dedicated to serving the community through service projects and activities that promote a better understanding and working relationship between the police and the community we serve. Founded in 1932, the Lake Forest Police Association is comprised of men and women who are sworn officers or civilian employees of the Lake Forest Police Department. Service and civic activities, promoted directly or as a sponsor, include the Lake Forest Senior Picnic, Special Olympics (Torch Run and Polar Bear Plunge), the Lake Forest Baseball Clinic (held at the Walter Payton Center), the annual CROYA Donut Bowl (touch football with Lake Forest High School students and police officers) and other worthy civic projects. The Association donates money for the purchase of coats for the annual coat drive , toys for Toys for Tots and other causes solicited by outside groups or by LFPA members themselves. The Lake Forest Police Association relies on financial support from the community, and has resisted the use of outside funding sources for assistance. 100% of all money donated goes directly to the Association. The Association exists entirely on contributions from the community and dues paid by members. Donations can be mailed to:
