What do we mean when we ask, “Are you balanced?” We’re talking about your natural energy centers, the chakras. These chakras are spinning wheels of energy lined through the core of your body, each associated with certain nerves and major organs. When even one of these chakras is out of balance, we can physically feel the effect. If we can heal and align the chakras, the energy radiates outwards and affects the rest of our bodies, other people and our environments.

There are so many benefits of reiki! (Even if you think you don’t need it, you probably do!) One of the unspoken benefits is that reiki goes where it needs to go. The reiki practitioner could be focusing on your shoulder, but if your ankle needs some attention, the reiki energy will also go there!

What can you expect at your in-person session? We’ll briefly discuss how you’ve been feeling and what your goals are for the session. Then, I’ll have you kick off your shoes and we’ll head to the Reiki Room! You’ll lay face-up on the message table, with memory foam padding, a pillow, and tuck you in with clean cotton sheets and a microfiber blanket. I will put a cushion under your knees to support your back and if you’d like, an eye pillow over your eyes so you can experience full relaxation. I’ll turn up the music, have you take three big deep breaths, and then you’re free to enter a meditative state. Falling asleep is the greatest compliment! When I’m finished, I will gently wake you up, give you some water so you can start flushing out the toxins, and we’ll discuss what we both felt and thought!

If you’ve received Reiki before, what sensations have you felt?!

I'll go first! I feel warmth in parts of my body, like a warm hug. I also feel as if two magnets of opposite charge run up and down my body.

Reiki is great for anyone, regardless of your physical, emotional or spiritual state. If your body is injured, ill, or just doesn’t feel 100%, reiki will loosen up the blockages so that your energy can flow again, restoring its original state of being. Reiki is also beneficial if you’re feeling great! It can be that motivational “push” that you need and help you vibe on a higher level.

Today is a special day… for two reasons! The first, it’s my dad’s 63rd birthday! (Happy heavenly birthday, Dad!) I feel his presence and know he is guiding me every day. And with his help and motivation, I’m excited to announce a new endeavor I’ve been working on for the past year – I’ve perfected my Reiki practice and I’m ready to share the healing energy with others!
