I’m beyond honored to share my story — not the filtered version, but the real one. The one that includes teenage depression, relentless bullying, a toxic relationship and an attempt to end my life. The one that talks about the messy parts of my marriage, how I found my voice and the heart behind my mission with LP Vibes.

In celebration of Mental Health Awareness month, I taught a yoga class tailored to my colleagues at Meketa Investment Group. My session was to promote mental wellness, cultivate a supportive work environment and of course start the morning off with positive vibes. We gathered after in our kitchen for some healthy smoothies and overnight oats.

Thank you to all that participated and a heartfelt thank you to Meketa for prioritizing employee wellness and creating space for initiatives like this. It’s inspiring to be part of a company that truly values mental health and encourages self-care.

My mom spent 3 weeks with me and was a tremendous HELP and I flew us back for a week to see my dad.

They’re still here. Still laughing. Still telling the same stories.
But something’s different.

I notice they don’t move as quickly.
They forget little things.
They ask for help with things they once did with ease.
And it hits me—hard.
Time is changing them.

They’re not sick. They’re not dying.
They’re just aging.
And somehow, that hurts more than I expected.

Because now I’m reminding them to rest.
I am paying their bills joining zoom doctor calls and everything else.

I’m the one worrying about every doctor’s appointment, every stumble, every sigh.

And they don’t complain.
They’re still trying to protect me like they always have.
But I see it.
And it breaks my heart in small, quiet ways.

So I show up. I step in. I carry what they can’t anymore.
Not because I have to—
But because they once did all of that, and more, for me.

Aging isn’t tragic. But it is emotional.
And if you feel
the weight of it, you’re not weak.
You’re just loving them in a new way.

And that love? It’s powerful.
