Cadence Speech Therapy, LLC

Cadence Speech Therapy, LLC Cadence Speech Therapy takes a holistic and evidence-based approach to stuttering therapy. Welcome to Cadence Speech Therapy! My name is Allegra Ludwig.

I am a Speech-Language Pathologist and the owner of Cadence Speech Therapy. I am licensed to provide speech therapy services in California, Colorado, Massachusetts, Montana, and Texas. I found my passion for stuttering therapy while in grad school. I immediately connected with the holistic aspect of this type of therapy; how the process involves not only addressing speech but also the cognitive aspect of underlying feelings and emotions. For the past decade, I have focused on stuttering therapy, supporting my clients not only as a partner throughout their journey but also as someone who could uplift and help to restore positive internal messages. For my clients, joy in speaking means having the confidence to land a new job, start dating, make new friends at school, or participate in public speaking and group activities that would have previously been terrifying. Confidence in speaking is our ultimate goal. I also gain so much from my clients - from witnessing their bravery and courage to helping so many clients find gratitude for the life lessons and growth they have experienced as a person who stutters. My passion for stuttering therapy and the clients I serve are what drive my dedication as a therapist.

“If you want growth, fear is the price of admission.” 🌱

A friend and colleague shared this quote today. She mentioned how scary it is to take the mic, knowing her voice and hands might shake—but she does it anyway because it’s important to her.

Next week, I’ll be speaking publicly, and I’m honestly really nervous too! Fear doesn’t disappear just because I’ve gotten on stage before. But fear is a natural part of doing something hard (and legitimately scary).

This also reminds me of a teen I worked with who told me she used to believe she had to feel calm and ready before speaking in front of her class. But she never felt calm (or ready), so she never spoke. She asked for accommodations to get out of giving class presentations, but her fear and apprehension about speaking only grew stronger.

She’s since realized that she can go ahead and talk (and stutter openly) even when she’s feeling scared, and she became one of the most captivating speakers of her class.

Growth and fear go hand in hand. If you’re scared of speaking, whether it’s in a class, meeting, or a conversation, others (me included) are right there with you. It’s not easy, but we don’t have to wait to feel ready. Fear just means we’re stretching ourselves.

Sneak peek of merch (coming soon!) from the store that just arrived today!!! How perfect that it arrived on ! Happy everyone—hope you’re all rocking your stuttering gear today too!
Oh, and yes—as someone unaccustomed to selfies, it took me about a hundred tries to figure out how to get a shot where all the words were visible. 😁🎉
