happy Samhain! today is not only the holiday but also a dark moon!

In astronomy, a dark moon is the final crescent moon that is visible before the moon wanes and becomes a new moon and this phase can last anywhere between 1.5 and 3.5 days, depending on its ecliptic latitude.

The spiritual meaning of the Dark Moon phase centers around reflection, self-discovery, renewal and letting go. It represents a time of delving into the shadows of the self, confronting negative emotions, and experiencing personal transformation for having done so.
