Cocooning Through Grief

Grief transforms us.
For a time we cocoon,
folding inward,
seeking the smallest,
safest chamber of the heart.

It is not hiding,
not retreat,
but something elemental,
a return to the inner sanctuary,
where silence keeps company with sorrow.

There, time moves differently.
Hours stretch like threads of dusk,
days gather into hush,
the world’s noise
falling away.

Inside the cocoon,
grief does its secret work.
The old life dissolves,
once familiar, now unrecognizable.
We remember who we were,
but that self feels distant,
belonging to another.

The one we loved lingers still,
stitched into memory,
woven throughout our daily lives
Their absence hollows,
reshapes,
leaving an ache
both wound and witness.

Even here,
change stirs quietly.
The stillness gathers us,
slowly, gently,
like threads woven
into a new tapestry.

We cannot rush it.
We cannot command it.
We can only move
with it,
trusting the rhythm of its unfolding.

And then,
at some unexpected moment,
the cocoon begins to thin.
Light seeps through
the fragile seams.

The heart,
once too heavy to lift,
leans toward the light.
We blink against a world
the same,
yet utterly changed.

Emerging,
we carry both the ache and the light,
a new way of being,
fragile,
resilient,
transformed,
and in some hidden way,
more luminous
for having passed through the dark.

💫✨ RESTOCK MODE: ACTIVATED ✨💫
We’re not in the shop right now because… we’re elbow-deep in crates, cardboard, and crystal dreams at the warehouse!

That’s right — it’s a full-on treasure hunt behind the scenes as we hand-select the next wave of beauties.

We’ll be back soon — shop restocked, shelves buzzing, and ready for you to find what’s been waiting for you.

In the meantime: hydrate, ground, and know that the magic is en route.

Be the first to check out some of our elite finds AND the first batch of blooms from our gardens at the Shirt Factory Thursday market from 4:30 - 8:00! (Our first of this season!)

Looking forward to seeing you all!

We’re buzzing around today getting things in order and making plans for some exciting upcoming shopping adventures! That means new treasures are on the way — and we can’t wait to share them with you.

To give our plants (and our sweet little shop) the love and attention they deserve in preparation for all the magic July has in store, we’ll be closed today.

If you happen to drive by and see us outside, give us a wave! We’re here, getting ready — and we can’t wait to welcome you back soon. 🥰

There is a quiet, almost sacred therapy in planting a seed, in pressing your hands into the soil and feeling the cool, living earth pulse beneath your fingertips. To grow something from seed to sprout to bloom, is to participate in a rhythm older than time itself, a rhythm that speaks to the deepest parts of who we are. In a world that often moves too fast and asks too much, tending to the earth offers us a rare chance to slow down, to breathe in harmony with nature, and to be fully present.

As we nurture plants, we learn to nurture ourselves, gently, patiently, and with faith in the unseen. The act of caring for life outside of ourselves quiets the chaos within us. Our minds begin to soften, our bodies, to release tension, and our spirits, to rise with each new leaf, each bloom that opens in the morning sun. There is wisdom in the soil, in the rain, in the resilience of roots pushing through the dark. Gardening teaches us to trust the process, to find peace in stillness, and to know that healing often grows slowly, invisibly at first, but always toward the light.

In every garden, no matter how small, there exists a sanctuary, not only for the plants but for the human soul. By staying in touch with the earth, we awaken to the quiet wisdom within.

🌿✨ A Note from the Schoolhouse ✨🌿

To each soul who stepped into the circle with us—thank you.

Thank you for showing up with your heart open, your laughter free, and your hands ready to create. Together, we opened something rare and real:
💫 Honoring nearly 1,000 pendulum jars
🕊 Gathering beneath a Friday the 13th sky
🌸 Sitting in stillness with the wheel, the herbs, and each other

Your presence brought the apothecary to life.
Your energy lit up the field.
Your intentions whispered into jars, into stone, into bloom.

We’re still feeling the echoes.

This was more than a gathering—it was a remembering.
Of lineage, of light, of why we gather at all.

With full hearts,

✨Join us this Friday the 13th to craft your own pendulum jar—
the final chapter in a legacy of 1,000.

Last night, the jars bathed in the light of the Strawberry Moon, charged within the Wheel.

Spots are limited.
The field is already listening.✨

Sage Harvest at Opal Rose 🌿

This year, the sage blossomed.
More than we’ve ever seen — stalks tall, flowers violet and humming with bees. A full return. A full remembering.

In harmony with nature, a Sage plant blossoms when given the right care and attention - She thrives on generous Sunlight, Water, and nutrient dense soil meeting her fundamental needs for survival; as her roots deepen in Mother Earth, she becomes strong and resilient, ready to bloom under ideal conditions.

To feel the pulse, the heartbeat of Mother Earth is a true honor

Are you ready to feel it?
Can you hear the echoing?
Are you ready to listen & remember?

We are here to guide you when you are ready to remember 🫶🏻

🪨 Did You Know?

The Adirondack Mountains are so ancient, they were already old when the first dinosaurs walked the Earth.

Formed over a billion years ago during the Grenville Orogeny, these mountains are made not of surface stone—but of deep Earth roots uplifted from the crust’s foundation.

That means every Adirondack crystal you hold isn’t just old—it’s primordial.

It has witnessed supercontinents rise and shatter.

It has held pressure no human could survive.
And still—it sings.

So when you feel a pulse in your palm or a warmth in your chest near one of these stones, it’s not your imagination.

It’s memory.

…Echoing…
