FUN FACT: Pertussis is a vaccine-preventable illness. 😊

Pertussis isn't a kind of drum; it's a very contagious bacterial infection of the lungs. Pertussis (also known as whooping cough) can cause pneumonia, seizures, and brain damage. Symptoms of pertussis include:
• Fever
• Coughing fits
• Difficulty breathing
• Blue or purplish skin

We had a great time at the ballpark on Saturday night with the Cedar Rapids Kernels! ⚾ Mr. Shucks even stopped by our booth to learn more about vaccines. It was great to see kiddos and their parents stop by to give our stuffed animals a check-up and get some vaccine-related coloring books and educational materials!

Don't forget to schedule back-to-school appointments for vaccines and physicals, as appointments can fill up quickly!
