Today's statistics: 1 in 2 men will get cancer, 1 in 3 women will get cancer!!! Scary!!!

As a cancer advocate my mission in life is to help prevent people from ever hearing those three scary words... you have cancer!!!

As a former certified oncology nurse the four worse words are: your cancer is back!!

I can't even begin to tell you all the people I have held and comforted! It is for their memories that I continue to do my work to help others!!!

I was just reading Lifespan by David Sinclair! He discusses how we need healthy cells. Which reminded me of Dr Joseph Mercola's book "Fat for Fuel", where he discusses the first issue is mitochondrial damage!

"In recent years, scientists have come to realize that it's not genetic mutations that cause cancer. WE now know that MITOCHONDRIAL damaGE HAPPENS FIRST" pg 32!

"Mitochondrial dysfunction produces reactive oxygen species, which in turn can cause genetic mutations, making the mutations an effect of abnormal respiration. Then the free radicals further damage the mitochondria, and respiration and creates a vicious cycle!!!!"

Omg!!!!!!!!!You can change this!!! Pm me and learn how now. !!!!!!
Don't wait to hear those words!!!! Or for that matter to wait and hear them again!!!!

Most people know March is recognized for colon cancer however, many don’t realize it is also kidney cancer awareness.

Tips for reducing the risk of kidney cancer. It’s important to prioritize health by making lifestyle changes like quitting smoking, maintaining a healthy weight, being mindful of acetaminophen intake, and considering personalized nutrition through nutrigenomics.

By taking proactive steps like these, we can not only raise awareness but also empower ourselves to lower the risk of kidney cancer. Let's spread the word and encourage others to prioritize their health this March and beyond. Together, we can make a difference in our well-being.

Happy 36!! Happy 36th Anniversary!

Two times chai (18)! Thirty-six years ago, we embarked on a journey as husband and wife, partners through thick and thin. We had no idea what the future held; all we knew was that we were the authors of our destiny.

It all began with our road to the wedding, where we promised each other teamwork to make the dream work. We had a beautiful ceremony, a great party, and unforgettable moments in Jamaica. Then, nine months later, we embarked on our first adventure—moving to St. Louis, Missouri.

St. Louis was a city of many firsts for us—a first pet, a first house, and our first child. Through the years, we faced ups and downs, but we made a promise to each other to balance and support one another. Coming from different backgrounds, blending our lives together wasn’t always easy, especially as we added more kids to the mix.

So we moved to Maryland and welcomed two more children, surprising ourselves. Life became busier, and at times, I struggled. Yet, you were always there to balance me and together, we raised three incredible kids who are now college graduates, employed, and happy. What more could we ask for?

Of course, enduring a marriage of this length comes with its challenges. Marriage is a journey where we must navigate turns, sometimes leaning in or steering clear. We faced hard times, like scrimping and saving every penny for a down payment on our house and missing family gatherings due to distance. But through it all, we chose to stay and work through our challenges.

We’ve lived in four states and seven addresses, and through it all, you’ve been an incredible partner and provider. I couldn’t ask for a better husband—honest, understanding, sensitive, bright, affectionate, nurturing, and dedicated to me.

As we embark on the next chapter of our lives—retirement—may we continue to grow, transform, and deepen our connection to each other and the divine. Cheers to us and the adventures that lie ahead!
