Both of these are Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) — but look at the difference 👀

Left: from an already spiked vial → deep yellow
Right: freshly opened vial → nearly clear, slight yellow tint

Vitamin C oxidizes quickly when exposed to air, light, and time. That deep yellow color means it’s breaking down — so you’re getting less potency and possible byproducts.

Even if it’s not expired yet, once opened, stability drops fast.

Rule: If it’s dark yellow/amber — toss it.
Fresh vitamin C should be clear to very lightly yellow.
