The village had originally planned a shopping trip, but thanks to favorable weather conditions, we were able to spontaneously choose a picnic in the park, which turned out to be a lovely day. We played beach ball volleyball and enjoyed egg salad sandwiches provided by the kitchen, a consistent crowd-pleaser. Watching the boats on the lake sparked a conversation between two residents who discovered a shared connection to Massachusetts. Pleasant company, engaging conversation, and fine weather proved to be all that was needed.
