Hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers are designed to be temporary—but how long they last depends on more than just the product used.

🧬 Hydration matters
HA is hydrophilic, meaning it binds to water. When you’re well hydrated, your filler can maintain a fuller, more plump appearance.

🧴 Barrier protection = less breakdown
Using a lip balm (like Aquaphor - my absolute fav!) helps prevent transepidermal water loss and reduces inflammation, both of which can impact longevity.

☀️ UV exposure accelerates degradation
Sun exposure increases free radical formation and inflammation, which can contribute to faster breakdown of HA.

🔥 Heat & increased blood flow

Our Story

Dr. Alvarado and his wife Ashley started Havasu Aesthetics (formerly BeYouthiful You) in July of 2017. With many years in the medical and aesthetic industry combined they decided to start their new business with the introduction to CoolSculpting. CoolSculpting is a non-invasive way to treat stubborn fat. Dr. Alvarado has been a medical doctor for over 20 years working in many areas of the medical field. He graduated from Baylor Medical School in Houston Texas. Havasu Aesthetics offers a variety of services including: CoolSculpting, Botox, Eyelash Extensions, Microneedling, Microblading, Chemical Peels, and Medical Grade Facials. Havasu Aesthetics is a quaint, family owned office, with professional and personable staff. Quality and privacy is our top priority. When clients arrive for treatments the time and attention is dedicated to them. Dr. Alvarado performs all injectables, and oversees all other procedures performed.
