Hospice of Havasu was honored to recognize Mr. Daniel “Dan” Peterson through our We Honor Veterans program for his service in the Army during the Vietnam War. For a generation that did not always receive the welcome home they deserved, it was our honor to finally say "Welcome Home" with gratitude and recognition. Hospice of Havasu volunteer veterans Bob, Herb, and Steve, as well as Hospice of Havasu staff, presented Mr. Peterson with a special pin, patriotic blanket, Certificate of Appreciation, and said a prayer.

When facing advanced illness, having the right information can make all the difference.

You do not need a referral to contact Hospice of Havasu. Anyone can call to learn more about hospice services, eligibility, and how we support individuals and families through advanced or end-stage illness. Understanding your options helps you make informed decisions—and we’re here to help you navigate every step while honoring your wishes and values.

Hospice care also comes to the patient. Most people receive care in the place they call home—whether that’s a private residence, assisted living, or a skilled nursing facility. Our team provides compassionate, personalized care wherever it’s needed, with 24/7 availability and in-person visits when required.

Rooted in the community since 1982, Hospice of Havasu is a not for profit organization dedicated to providing compassionate care with dignity to individuals and families facing serious illness. Need Help? Call 928-453-2111. http://HospiceHavasu.org

There are many misconceptions about hospice care—but the truth is rooted in compassion, choice, and support.

Hospice of Havasu provides comprehensive, coordinated care focused on comfort, dignity, and quality of life—not cure. Our dedicated care team supports patients and families with medical care, personal support, emotional and spiritual guidance, and ongoing conversations about what matters most as needs and goals change.

Time and again, families tell us they wish they had chosen hospice care sooner. Earlier support often means better symptom management, fewer hospital visits, more meaningful moments, and the space to focus on what truly matters.

Patients and families have the right to choose hospice and the right to choose the hospice they want. Hospice of Havasu is the ORIGINAL hospice, trusted by our community since 1982.
