I love this analogy! There is a reason why private paid caregivers charge so much less than an agency. Often they aren't licensed, bonded or insured and the don't have the expenses of paying employment taxes, training, etc. (Workers comp alone costs a small FORTUNE!) There are some good private caregivers out there but finding and vetting them can be hassle also. Sometimes, you get what you pay for.

We are so blessed to have great clients AND caregivers, not to mention a community that starts things like the Memory Cafe! Having a safe place that those suffering from dementia can go to and play games, hang out or just visit with others is AWESOME!!

A few pictures from our Christmas party. I'm so grateful for all these wonderful people! I think they all had as much fun as I did. First party we had to rent a venue for; Just too many people to fit in my house. Good problem to have though. Merry Christmas everyone!
