Due to unforeseen circumstances we need to cancel the Trauma Skills Workshop that was going to be held at 6:00 tonight. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope you will join us for the next one on February 11th at 6pm!

We hope everybody made it through the storm safely and without damage.

Preparing for a snowstorm?
Here’s a checklist to help you get ready:

Emergency Supplies: Stock up on non-perishable food, bottled water, and essential medications to last several days. Include batteries, flashlights, candles, and a battery pack for phones, laptops and computers.

Warm Clothing and Blankets: Ensure you have sufficient warm clothing, including gloves, hats, and thermal socks. Keep extra blankets handy.

Home Preparation: Cover windows and doors to keep your home warm if power goes out. Check that your heating system is functioning properly and have a backup heat source, like a wood-burning stove or space heater.

Vehicle Readiness: If you must travel, make sure you fill your tank with gas. Keep an emergency kit in your car, including a shovel, ice scraper, jumper cables, and a first aid kit.

Pet Care: Make sure you have enough pet food and supplies, and a warm place for your pets to stay.

Did you know that deep breathing, engaging in hobbies and open conversations about your mental well-being are all self-care tools for managing stress?
If you need to talk we have our DBSA meeting tonight at 174 Edison Rd. Lake Hopatcong ( Downstairs in the Skylands medical building) at 6pm.
DBSA is the depression and bipolar support alliance, that is peer led support for people with mood disorders and their family and friends. So if your nervous to come alone, bring someone you know along.
