This restorative yoga class is designed to support deep rest and the parasympathetic nervous system. Using bolsters, blankets, blocks, and other available props, each pose is fully supported to eliminate muscular effort and encourage complete relaxation.
We’ll move through 4–6 long-held shapes with slow, mindful transitions and minimal verbal cueing. Breath awareness remains soft and natural, inviting calm without force. This practice emphasizes stillness, comfort, and accessibility for a wide range of bodies.
Inspired by the yogic concept of the kleshas, habits that create unnecessary suffering, this class gently works with Raga (RAH-gah), the tendency to grasp or strive. Restorative yoga offers space to release effort and allow the body to be supported.
