Why did I decide to go out on my own? Instead of working for a large company? Well my biggest frustration with working for a home health company is lack of communication. I believe the trouble Is dealing with many people in the office who are working on the same clients paperwork/records. Things get lost in translation and not all of the important things like what day they'd like to be seen gets written down. The human emotional social needs are just as important. Having several different people coming out to your house doing diffrent things with diffrent titles gets confusing. Who did what? What still needs to get done? When are they coming back and what time? These are common question from clients and the family. With using my business Rachel's Trusted Hands. You only need to speak with myself about what you expect and the needs of the client. As well as the patients personal preferences. Another plus is I show up when we schedule unless you get a call from me a head of time.
Big company's try to fit in as many people as they can on a CNA schedule. If it's just for a shower or for an extended period of time. I schedule my clients based on what they're needs are. I charge by the hour. I do not rush my clients through their tasks no matter what they might be. I take the time they need and schedule around that. When I worked for a large company I was only given 15 minutes to get a person showered. This is not possible if you are going to give the client the best care you can. I believe the large company's are so incredibly helpful. But things are more complicated. My business is more straight forward with communication since you'd be dealing with just myself.

I've decided to expand my services. Not only will I be caring for the seniors and disabled. I will also be doing childcare in your home. I have an Early Childhood Development Certificate. I've worked with children off and on over the years. I have worked as an assistant teacher in state funded childcare. Another service I'll provide is dog sitting. I used to work for Brazosport County SPCA in the medication room/treatment room. Why not use all of my skills to help as much as I can. ❤️

Hi, my name is Rachel Ruhr. I am a certified nursing assistant as well as a medical assistant. I have been working in the health field for almost seven years. Before I worked in daycares and early childhood development programs as an assistant teacher. I enjoy helping others be their best self’s. I also tried working as a vet tech nurse. I had so much fun working with animals. Unfortunately, it just was not the same passion I felt for helping the disabled and senior community. I have found my true calling.
I worked for Carriage Inn assisted living for a few years. Then I worked with the local care builders home health for year. After that I worked at Elmcroft senior assisted living here in Lake Jackson for a little over a year. I am currently associated with the company IPH and Hospice as part time. I have been working with them for a year as of now. I have now taken my passion to a new level.
I have decided to open my own business called Rachel’s Trusted Hands. This business of mine is a home health service. I will be assisting the disabled and the senior’s in their daily living activities.

Bathing, hygiene, toileting, assistance with daily assistance. Light food preparation, assistance with eating. Light housekeeping. Transportation to and from appointments with client's vehicle. I will provide driving record upon request. Errands, shopping assistance using client's vehicle. Daily documentation for family and doctor. Dcumentation journal provided. I will provide references of current/former clients. Pet sitting and babysitting are a few other services I provide.
