Lake Lure Town Hall - Relocation to "The Landings" - 8/1/25: Lake Lure Town Hall and the Lake Lure Police Department were flooded during Hurricane Helene. Town staff have been working in temporary office spaces and are relocating to "The Landings" at 920 Buffalo Creek Rd, Lake Lure, NC 28746.

The Police Department has already completed the majority of their move and will begin operating out of The Landings effective immediately.

Administrative staff will be moving in this month, July 2025.
The transition is expected to be completed with full operational capacity established by August 1, 2025.

This location was selected as an interim space until more permanent decisions are made regarding the Town Hall facility.
The Town of Lake Lure mailing address will remain the same: P.O. Box 255, Lake Lure, NC 28746. You may call 828-625-9983 for assistance and you may review the Town Staff phone directory at the following link: https://www.townoflakelure.com/contact

We appreciate the public’s patience and cooperation during this transition and look forward to continuing to serve the community from our new location.

🌟 Community Stronger Together 🌟
We’re proud to share some meaningful news: The Landings of Lake Lure has partnered with the Town of Lake Lure to assist in recovery efforts following Hurricane Helene.

While our community faced challenges earlier this year, our commitment to Lake Lure has never wavered. We’re honored to support local recovery efforts and to be part of a collaborative future with town leadership and residents alike.

This partnership reflects the heart of what senior living should be: a resource, a neighbor, and a place that uplifts the greater community, especially in times of need.

UPDATE:

We are so happy to bring you this update! Everyone at the community is safe and happy, and our support center staff is currently onsite.

The community now has a satellite phone, and we are currently working on Starlink connections to be able to FaceTime with our residents’ families.

Everyone is safe, fed and the generator is running. We brought more fuel and have established a route to access the building.

URGENT UPDATE:

Dear Family Members and Loved Ones,

Our community is currently sheltering in place. We are working closely with FEMA, NC DPS, and the State Department of Emergency Management to ensure the safety of all residents and staff.

Please note that, despite the use of generators, phone lines and internet connections are down across the area. We are maintaining communication through emergency personnel and our onsite staff.

We understand this situation is unsettling, but please rest assured that your loved ones are receiving attentive care. We will provide more detailed updates as soon as possible.
