Psych Health Associates (PHA) is a team of psychiatrists and nurse practitioners, who provide an initial diagnosis, first-time evaluation, follow up treatment and medication management for patients who reside in a skilled nursing or assisted living facility. Supporting our LTAC and rehab partners means making sure patients have the behavioral health support they need to stay motivated, engaged in therapy, and on track for a successful recovery.

Healing Beyond the Physical – A Patient’s Story of Hope and Recovery

After surviving two near-death accidents, one of our patients shared his incredible journey of healing and resilience while receiving care at our skilled nursing facility.

When our psychiatric provider took time to check in, asking about his PTSD, trauma, and overall well-being, it sparked something in him. That compassionate conversation helped him realize that true recovery means healing both the mind and body.

“I feel like a helpless child learning to walk again,” he shared. “Getting my head right is just as important as healing my body. Physical recovery is half the battle—but the mind is the other half.”

With the encouragement of our dedicated nurses and behavioral health team, he continues to make strides forward every day. He says he feels blessed, supported, and focused on staying positive as he rebuilds his strength and confidence.
