One of the deepest teachings in A Course in Miracles is that judgment comes from the belief that we are separate from God.

When we think we are the authority — deciding who is right, wrong, better, worse — the mind becomes restless.

Yoga teaches the same thing.

In yoga philosophy, the ego (ahamkara) believes it is the doer and the controller.
But peace comes through surrender — what the Yoga Sutras call Ishvara Pranidhana.

This is why yoga practice invites us to:

🧘‍♀️ Release judgment
🧘‍♀️ Let go of control
🧘‍♀️ Return to our true source

On the mat we practice noticing the voice that judges:
I should be stronger. I should be more flexible.

And we gently choose again.

When we stop trying to be the authority of everything…
we remember something deeper:

✨ We were created by love.
✨ We return to peace when we surrender to it.

“My mind is preoccupied with past thoughts.”

Today on the mat, I remembered:
We often don’t see what is—we see what was.
Old fears, old stories, old reactions quietly shape how we show up.

But the breath is our invitation back.
Back to the body.
Back to the present.
Back to peace.

🧘‍♀️ Today I practiced letting go of the noise so I could remember what’s true:
Right now, I am safe. Right now, I am enough.

Yoga Sutra 1.1 says:
“Atha yogānuśāsanam” — Now, the practice of yoga begins.

A Course in Miracles Lesson 1 says:
“Nothing I see means anything.”

Both teachings begin with a single invitation:
Be here now.
Let go of meaning. Let go of expectation. Let the present moment be your path.

Every time we step on the mat, it’s an opportunity to begin again — not with effort, but with openness.

💕What if this moment was completely new?
💕What if you didn’t need to understand it — just breathe in it?

🧘‍♀️ “Yoga is the calming of the fluctuations of the mind.”
— Yoga Sutra 1.2

This one verse is the heart of the entire yoga practice. It’s not about the pose. It’s about presence.

Each time we step onto the mat, we’re practicing more than movement—we’re practicing stilling the mind. We observe the chaos without reacting, we breathe through discomfort, and we return again and again to the quiet center within us.

Yoga teaches us that we are not our thoughts.
We are the awareness behind them.
And through that awareness… comes peace.

✨ Breathe. Be still. Begin again.

🌿 “Nothing I see means anything.”
Day 1 – A Course in Miracles

On the mat, we learn to let go of labels—tight hips, busy mind, good pose, bad pose. Yoga invites us to see again with fresh eyes, free of judgment. Just breath, sensation, and presence.
What if today… you allowed everything to mean nothing, and instead just be?

“The mind is its own place, and in itself can make a heaven of hell, a hell of heaven.”

Yoga reminds us that peace isn’t found in perfect circumstances—it’s found in how we relate to our thoughts.

Your mind can be your sanctuary or your battlefield. Every time you step on your mat, you have a chance to notice the stories you’re telling yourself and to choose presence over pressure, compassion over criticism.

Breathe. Move. Witness.
Heaven is a state of mind—and it’s available now.

You are ready, even if it feels messy.
You are enough, exactly as you are.

Your mind is powerful.
It can imagine, create, protect, and dream.

But here’s the truth:
You are not your thoughts.
Not the anxious loops.
Not the self-doubt.
Not the stories that say you’re not enough.

You are the awareness behind it all.
The calm witness.
The steady presence.

Let the thoughts come and go—
like clouds passing through a vast sky.
You don’t have to hold onto them.
You get to choose what stays.

Pause. Breathe. Remember who you are.

Yoga isn’t about touching your toes. It’s about stilling your mind.

According to Patañjali, the ancient sage who compiled the Yoga Sutras, “Yogaś citta-vṛtti-nirodhaḥ” (Sutra 1.2) — Yoga is the stilling of the fluctuations of the mind.

Not flexibility.
Not handstands.
Not the perfect pose.

Yoga is the practice of coming home to yourself.
Of noticing your thoughts without being ruled by them.
Of remembering that peace is already inside you—beneath the noise.

So the next time you roll out your mat, or pause for a conscious breath… know that you’re practicing yoga. Right here. Right now.

“Atha yogānuśāsanam” — Yoga Sutra 1.1

Translation: Now, the teachings of yoga begin.

This simple line carries a profound message: “Now” is the doorway into practice.

Not yesterday, not someday—but now.
In this moment, we arrive. We turn toward presence, stillness, and inquiry.

Patañjali reminds us that yoga is not a performance, but a path—a conscious decision to step into awareness, again and again.

Whether you’re unrolling your mat, sitting in silence, or simply choosing to breathe deeply… this is it. This is where your yoga begins.

How does your yoga begin today?
