Hey y’all. I have news and I’m not quite sure how to categorize it. For the last few months you’ve seen me gradually getting accepted into different insurance networks as I’ve started this practice. I believe in making care as accessible as possible which means being “in-network” with as many insurances as possible and, in my previous experience in Oregon, this was a reality. However, coverage in Florida is not the same. There are not only limitations on how much we get reimbursed but they’re actually trying to limit what I can do in a visit. These limitations are making care impossible to provide in a way that aligns with our mutual goals as far as not only alleviating pain/dysfunction but preventing it from returning. For example, I was told in a peer-to-peer that they will not cover preventative exercises - i.e. I can’t give you rehab to help prevent your complaint from happening again.
So what does this mean:
As of 01/01/2026 I will not accept new insurance patients and will start to phase out insurance care in my practice. For existing Blue Cross patients already billed as “out of network” or patients with Blue Cross who have “out of network” benefits, we can continue to bill that as a courtesy to you. I’ll still accept “cash pay”/self pay , Personal Injury/Car Insurance, as well as Lactation patients through The Lactation Network.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions. I will post updates as they develop and I will, as always, be transparent about pricing and scheduling.
