I am a being of Light on this plane of existence working in conjunction with all other beings of Light on this pulsating Earth. My body is the only true vessel, my home, that houses the almighty powerful divinity, my spiritual entity. In order to be truthful to my internal Light, I withdraw from the external and expand awareness through a holistic yoga lifestyle :) !
I am a Yoga Acharya: comlpeting a 200 hour Hatha Yoga TTC in Aspen, CO and continuing education workshops, trainings, and webinars. (please ask to see my Healing Yoga/Bodywork resume for specific trainings, work history and references!)
Yoga philosophy is derived from the Veda scriptures (1500-1000 BCE) and Yoga Sutras (400 CE) and therefore, much of the tradition is in Sanskrit (believed to be the oldest language). Ashtanga Yoga, also referred to as the 8 Limbs of Yoga (OR Raja Yoga by Sage Patanjali--Yoga Sutras) is what I teach and practice myself daily. These limbs are:
Yama- Social Restraints
Niyama- Personal observances
Asana - Posture
Pranayama - Breathing techniques
Pratyahara - Sense withdrawal
Dharana - Focused concentration
Dhyana- Meditative absorption
Samadhi - Enlightenment
For asana and physical upkeep (we want our vessel to be our healthiest housing for our spiritual essence), I focus on postural alignment and stacking of the joints wisely. Iβve learned from various yoga teachers, two of those are Christina Sell (bio-mechanical alignment) and Linda Toth (Baptiste Yoga). Everybody is unique and I can help guide students to their true alignment. I use traditional Hatha Yoga postures that Iβve studied from my TTC and with Monica Cullinane (a spiritual teacher that has trained under B. K. S. Iyengar), and cues to allow physical alignment in a body. I provide relaxing adjustments throughout a session that I have pulled from body work techniques and my background in Thai Massage.
For understanding the Deeper awareness that comes from the inner self I have studied with several meditation healers from all over the world, specifically: Transcendental Meditation with Ashutosh Strobel at an Ashram in Kausani, Uttarakhand, India; a multitude of meditation techniques from various lineages at Shree Mahesh Meditation School in Rishikish, Uttarakhand, India; and Vipassana meditation techniques at Wat Pa Tam Wua Forest Monestary in Northern Thailand. I use pranayama, chakra healing/awakening, ayurvedic knowledge, body scans, visualizations, cleansing of the senses, concentration, Tai Chi, Reiki, and more to access this area of ourselves.
In 2018 and 2019 I traveled to Asia for a deeper self study that answered many of my spiritual questions.
While in Northern Thailand, I became certified in Thai Massage, Reflexology, and Guasa (Traditional Chinese Massage Technique). I also studied Vipassana Meditation at a Forest Monastery.
While in Northern India, I became a certified Meditation Teacher, Reiki Master, initiated into Transcendental Meditation and studied this at an Ayurvedic Ashram. I also studied Yogic Philosophy, Ayurveda, Panchakarma Treatments/Massage, organic farming, Sujok Acupuncture and Acupressure.
Please contact me for any private classes, events, or more information on my teaching schedule! I look forward to sharing and practicing with you. Anything we have is meant to be given. Peace, Bliss, Light & Loving Kindness to all. Namaste. Om Shanti Shanti Shanti
