His reconstructed CT image shows the vascular supply after injection of dye into the facial artery . Not the lower lip has less anastomosis . Injections into the lip are well tolerated due to the blood supply . Injections into the lower lip perioral area can result in more severe injuries due less anastomosis . The inferior labial artery is below the vermillion border and can be superficial in the midline . Care must be exercised when injection around the lip inferiorly .
