Team members enjoyed delicious breakfast burritos in the morning and tasty churros from ROSAS Churros in the afternoon. It was a fun way to show our gratitude during Employee Appreciation Month to the incredible staff that make Mary's Woods so special.

This 1950s view of the woodshop reflects the practical spirit of the Sisters of the Holy Names who shaped the land that is now Mary’s Woods. Originally constructed as an eight-car carport to support their growing convent, the building was later enclosed and transformed into a working woodshop. When Mary’s Woods opened in 2001, residents helped write its next chapter.

Over time, the space expanded to include “The Cave,” a welcoming gathering area. Today, the Shop and The Cave remain resident-led, vibrant spaces for connection.

Congratulations to Kassy on her well‑deserved promotion from sales specialist to sales counselor!👏

Kassy has been part of the Mary’s Woods community since 2018, beginning her journey in Health Services before moving into Sales. She shared a few words about this next step:

“I’ve spent the last seven and a half years growing alongside the Mary’s Woods community and its residents. I’m grateful to continue being part of such a meaningful and beautiful community, and I’m excited to step into this new role and share my love for Mary’s Woods with future residents.”

We were fortunate to welcome Michael Allen Harrison back to help Mary’s Woods kick off a yearlong celebration of 25 years of community. Over the years, residents have enjoyed many memorable performances from Michael, including at our Grand Opening and 10th anniversary celebration.

His classical contemporary style has created a timeless musical experience that has connected with thousands throughout his three-decade career.

Residents said "You've got a friend in me" at the Palentine's social, Mary's Woods' platonic Valentine's Day alternative. With a live band, dancing, and snacks, it wasn't hard to make a new friend or two!

The Dining Services team went all out for the 25 Years of Community reception! We kicked off a year of celebrations on the anniversary of the day we first welcomed residents to Mary’s Woods, February 6, 2001. Residents and their guests enjoyed an array of delicious bites, including Shrimp Cocktail, Cherry & Brie Crostini, Quiche Bites, Assorted Petite Fours, Cheesecake Bites, and more.

A huge thank you to our Dining Services team for creating such a warm and memorable celebration!

Congratulations to Emma for her recent promotion to Dining Room Manager! 🎉

Emma started in Marketing, then moved to Dining Services where she advanced from lead to assistant manager and now manager. "What I value most about Mary's Woods is the people. The residents and team members create an environment where coming to work each day feels like a true privilege, not just a job."
