Naturopathic Medical Doctors undergo a rigorous medical education at one of the seven fully accredited North American Naturopathic Medical Schools. The first two years of education mirror a traditional Western medical education in terms of the biological sciences: Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Microbiology and Medical Diagnosis. The last two years are clinical training, working hands-on with patients in a variety of clinical settings. These years focus on natural methods of healing, including nutrition, vitamin therapy, herbalism, homeopathy and physical/structural medicine, as well as Western pharmacology when indicated. Our clinic is also licensed in Washington.

Stress, sleep, and metabolism are deeply connected, and together they shape how your body produces energy, balances blood sugar, and recovers day to day.

Chronic stress can disrupt hormone signaling and increase inflammation. Poor sleep affects insulin sensitivity and appetite regulation. When these systems are out of sync, metabolism slows, energy levels drop, and the body has a harder time maintaining balance.

Supporting metabolic health isn’t about quick fixes. It’s about regulating stress, protecting sleep quality, and giving your body the signals it needs to function efficiently and sustainably.

If you’re ready to support your energy and metabolism at a deeper level, we’re here to help. Visit lakeoswegohealth.com or call 503-505-9806 to learn more or schedule a consultation.

Metabolic health is dynamic, responding daily to how you eat, move, rest, and manage stress.

How you fuel your body, manage stress, move, rest, and maintain consistency all influence how efficiently your body produces energy, regulates blood sugar, and adapts over time. Research continues to show that small, intentional lifestyle shifts can support metabolic stability and long-term health.

The most effective changes are the ones that align with your body, your routine, and your current health needs.

✨ We’re here to support your journey with evidence-informed therapies, targeted supplements, and personalized guidance designed to help you strengthen metabolic function at your own pace.

Metabolic testing provides insight into how efficiently your body produces energy, what fuel it relies on, and where imbalances may be affecting performance, recovery, or day-to-day energy. By measuring oxygen and carbon dioxide exchange, we move beyond symptoms and guide care using real physiological data to personalize nutrition strategies, lifestyle recommendations, and treatments.

Understanding how your body functions at its core creates clarity, confidence, and direction. When care is guided by data, each step forward becomes more purposeful and supportive of long-term balance.

For the month of January, ask about our metabolic bundles and save up to $100.

Metabolic health goes far beyond the number on the scale. At the cellular level, how your body produces energy, manages stress, and uses oxygen plays a major role in weight balance, inflammation, and overall vitality.

Our comprehensive metabolic approach starts with assessing cellular health, then creating personalized, targeted interventions to support metabolism. This may include nutritional and lifestyle guidance, lipotropic injections to support fat metabolism and energy production, and advanced therapies such as UV ozone therapy to support oxygen utilization and a healthy stress response.

We’re here to support your health with thoughtful, individualized care.
Call 503-505-9806 to learn more about our metabolic health bundles and how they may support your wellness goals.

Your gut and stress hormones are constantly talking to each other.
When stress hormones like cortisol stay elevated, digestion can slow, the gut lining becomes more vulnerable, and nutrient absorption may suffer. Over time, this can affect how your body creates energy, leaving fatigue feeling ongoing instead of occasional.

Energy isn’t just about sleep. It comes from balanced hormones, healthy digestion, and a supported nervous system. When one area is off, the whole body feels it.

The DUTCH test helps show cortisol patterns and hormone balance, offering clarity around what may be quietly draining your energy.
✨ Enjoy 10% off DUTCH hormone testing throughout December. Visit lakeoswegohealth.com or call 503-505-9806.

12/09/2025

Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) is the clinical use of estrogen, progesterone, and sometimes testosterone to re-establish physiologic hormone levels during the menopausal transition. These hormones play critical roles in neurological function, cardiovascular health, bone remodeling, metabolic regulation, and thermoregulation, so their decline can trigger a wide range of symptoms.

Emerging research shows that when HRT is initiated before age 60 or within 10 years of menopause, it can actually improve the overall risk profile for many women. Current evidence suggests potential benefits for vascular health, preservation of bone density, cognitive support, mood stabilization, sleep quality, and reduction of vasomotor symptoms such as hot flashes and night sweats. When bioidentical formulations are used and dosing is individualized, the risk–benefit ratio can be highly favorable.

Whether you’re considering HRT or simply want to learn more, call us at 503-505-9806 or visit lakeoswegohealth.com to schedule a comprehensive evaluation with our physicians and begin a personalized treatment plan to optimize your health.
