Dr. Salisbury remembers wanting to be a doctor as a young child. Her unwavering desire took her to volunteer positions in her teens that only solidified her dream. Lack of family funding required that she fund her own education. Her undergraduate studies were completed at Florida State University and her spirit of adventure took her to University of California at Santa Barbara for a degree in Cellular Biology/Embryology. After Master’s work in Biochemistry she completed a degree in Medicine at the University of California at San Diego School of Medicine. Her internship introduced her to the beautiful city of Portland and she completed her residency at University of Kansas affiliate hospital, Wesley Medical Center in Wichita Kansas. She has enjoyed the practice of medicine, taking care of women at Good Samaritan Hospital followed by a 16 year commitment to Women’s Health Center of Oregon in Oregon City. She has participated in leadership roles including department head and chief of staff at the hospital. She enjoys public speaking and teaching and most enjoys her one on one time with the patients. Her deep commitment to the patient experience and state of the art care has led her to want to open a smaller, more personal practice to better meet the needs of her patient community. She values listening to the patient and delivering them the best care possible. She enjoys cooking, running, golfing and practicing her faith in her daily life. Her greatest joy is the gratitude she receives from family and patients. She believes in the doctor-patient relationship and its therapeutic value. Dr. Salisbury is eager to start on her new adventure.
