Medical Escorting
Our clients are escorted to the VA, Kaiser, Portland and Vancouver hospitals as well as all medical clinics, urgent care, and emergency rooms. Our trained care associates will go in to the doctor’s exam room with the client if desired. (If the client wishes, our trained care associate(s) will accompany him or her in the doctor’s exam room.) We stay with the client the entire time

, so there is no waiting for a return ride or unsupervised time by the client. After the appointment is complete, we provide a written narrative to the guardian or family member about the appointment and the client’s physical and mental status. Recreational Outing
Many seniors and adults with disabilities are unable to leave their homes or facilities due to lack of transportation, especially if they require the use of a wheelchair, or because they are not safe to be alone. Pegasus Social Services will take the client out for a variety of activities: eating out, shopping, bowling, fishing, museums, movies, scenic drives, and more. As with the medical escorting, a written narrative is provided afterwards.
