Our Springs at Lake Oswego Summer Concert Series kicked off with an amazing performance by renowned Concert Rock Violinist Aaron Meyer.

We were treated to an unforgettable musical experience as Aaron brought his electrifying energy and incredible talent to our community. From classical melodies to rock anthems, Aaron had everyone captivated.

From exploring every U.S. state and steering a canal boat in England to simply living two doors apart in retirement, their story is a beautiful reminder that true friendship only deepens with time.

Ron Shipman, Fitness & Wellness Coach – The Springs at Clackamas Woods
Reimagined wellness with weekly “Fitness Labs,” quarterly community-wide challenges, and 10-minute staff workouts that make movement contagious from the gym to the break room.

Katelynn Wolff, Life Enrichment Assistant – The Springs at Missoula
Sparked the Kindness Krew, weaving volunteerism into daily life walking with Memory Care on The Longest Day and stocking backpacks for local kids—proving service can ripple far beyond our walls.

When you dine at The Springs at Lake Oswego, the smooth rhythm you feel, meals arriving hot, servers confident, smiles all around, isn't luck. It’s the handiwork of Josh Rambeau, one of three brilliant minds honored with our 2025 Spark Award for innovation.

Josh saw an opportunity to turn everyday chaos into clockwork. He built a step-by-step binder system that maps out meal delivery for 30+ residents and designed pocket-size “service cards” so servers always have the day’s specials, duties, and a Springs value at their fingertips. Even the server schedule now lines up perfectly with the budget, because excellence works best when it’s sustainable.

Josh never stops fine-tuning, always asking, “How can we do this better for our residents and our team?” That spark is lighting the way for all of us. Join us in cheering him on!

Doing One Thing at The Springs Living means letting compassion guide every decision that shapes life in our communities. This year, nominations from residents and families poured in, each one spotlighting a teammate who makes quality shine. Rising to the top was a story poured straight from the heart.

Meet Michael Robbins, bartender at The Springs at Happy Valley and guardian angel behind the bar. Michael doesn't just remember favorite cocktails; he remembers favorite stories. When a resident began choking, he calmly delivered the Heimlich and saved their life. Weeks later he noticed another guest’s speech change mid-order, alerted the team, and had 911 on the way within moments.

Yet ask anyone and they’ll say Michael’s real superpower is the everyday stuff: the warm greeting that starts dinner service, the listening ear, the way he makes every person feel like the only person in the room.

Michael, thank you for living One Thing every day and reminding us that quality starts with heart. Raise a glass to our 2025 One Thing Award winner!

🌈 Celebrating Pride Month

This June, we proudly celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride Month to honor the history, resilience, and joy of the LGBTQ+ community. At The Springs Living, we believe that all residents and team members deserve to feel seen, respected, and welcomed for who they are.

Many LGBTQ+ older adults have witnessed remarkable changes over the decades, from times of silence and stigma to greater acceptance and visibility. Their courage and perseverance paved the way for the freedoms many enjoy today, and we are honored to serve them as they contribute to the enriching experiences in our communities.
