Part 2: He was able to keep racing! And finished!

It wound up being a low blood sugar event. This lucky fella went down with help only steps away, and not out on the outskirts of a large course map.

His insulin pump may have malfunctioned due to the rain.

The result: a miraculous finish after nearly having to leave the course in an ambulance!!
