🌟 PRI/SCREEN Certified Nurse 🌟

One of the unique services I provide through Peaks & Pines Nursing Services is PRI and SCREEN assessments. As a New York State certified nurse assessor, I’m trained to complete the Patient Review Instrument (PRI) and SCREEN assessments— required evaluations for nursing home placement.

🌲💜Why Peaks & Pines Offers Caregiver Support This Way 💜🌲

I’ve had a lot of people ask me: “Why can’t you just hire CNAs or HHAs directly through Peaks & Pines?”

Here’s the truth: in New York State, only licensed home care agencies can officially employ aides. That licensing process is long, expensive, and heavily regulated. If I skipped those steps and hired aides myself, it would put me, the aides, and the families at legal and financial risk.

👉 That’s why I’ve chosen a different, safer path:

• Families hire their own caregiver directly (they are the employer).

• Peaks & Pines steps in with nursing oversight: I create the care plan, train the aide, and check in regularly to make sure everything is safe, professional, and compassionate.

• This keeps care affordable, flexible, and compliant — while still giving families the benefit of having a nurse involved.

I know this is different from what people expect, but it’s the right way to do it. Families deserve safe options, aides deserve fair treatment, and I want Peaks & Pines to be a service you can rely on for the long haul.

Hi everyone! 👋 I’m Kristy, a local RN and the face behind Peaks & Pines Nursing Services. After more than 10 years of nursing, I realized how many people in our community want care that feels personal, flexible, and supportive — so I decided to bring nursing right to where people are most comfortable: home.

Outside of nursing, you’ll usually find me out on the trails with my camera, soaking in the beauty of the Adirondacks. Nature has always been my reset button, and it’s part of what inspired the name Peaks & Pines 🌲⛰️.
