We are deeply grateful to Carlos Vega from Florida Home Care, Shannon Pendarvis from Compassionate Care Hospice, and Susan Staffieri from Vital Caring Home Health. Their partnership has been pivotal in bringing happiness to our residents through various events and activities. We appreciate the generous donations they have made, which enabled us to host a successful auction and birthday party. The residents have had the opportunity to enjoy exercise sessions, bingo games, and bible study sessions accompanied by donuts. Overall, the month of May has been an enormous success, thanks to their kindness.

We initiated our Memorial Day holiday celebrations with great enthusiasm. Our Memory Lane residents participated in a roll and stroll activity, complemented by a ball toss while enjoying classic oldies music. Meanwhile, our assisted living community had a relaxed day featuring a movie screening and snacks. A significant turnout was observed for Bingo and prizes, accompanied by dominoes.

Our recent activities have included enjoying lovely weather at an ice cream social. We have maintained our exercise regimen with Mrs. Chris, which keeps us active. Additionally, we have played individual games and explored our creativity as a group, concluding with a delightful afternoon watching “the ole bones” line dancers while enjoying refreshments.

Today we eased into the day. Enjoyed movie and popcorn this morning. This afternoon we participated in a friendly bingo game with a packed house and enjoyed playing a game of pool.

Our day began with exercise to preserve our physical well-being. We were joined by Pastor Mike and seamlessly transitioned into a Bible study, complemented by the pleasure of delicious apple pie in observance of national apple pie day. This afternoon, we enjoyed a sing-along session with Mrs. Arlene, featuring beautiful hymns and excellent socialization.

We appreciate the East Side Church Woman’s Ministry for visiting and singing hymns with our residents this week. Mrs. Chris led our weekly exercise session, which was as engaging as ever. We had a friendly game of bingo and some of the gentlemen went out for a meal at The Grill at Lake Jackson. Our ladies in memory care enjoyed ice cream snacks while watching the gentlemen go fishing. We’ll see who catches the most this week. Our marketer Michele got to pamper some staff for a luau at Lake Placid Health and Rehabilitation. More activities planned for the rest of the week, so stay tuned for all the fun picture’s!
