đ EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT: Pauline Jackson đ
Medical Receptionist | Family Medical Behavioral Health Clinic â Lake Providence, LA
Today, we are proud to shine the spotlight on Ms. Pauline Jackson, one of the newest faces under the East Carroll Parish Hospital umbrella, serving as the Medical Receptionist at the Family Medical Behavioral Health Clinic for the past seven months.
From the moment you walk through our doors, Paulineâs smile lights up the roomâand itâs no accident. Her journey here was God-led. After her last job ended, Pauline prayed and asked, âGod, whatâs my next assignment?â She knew she wanted to be in a position that wasnât just a jobâbut a purposeful placement.
đŹ âIâve always loved people and helping people. And because I worked in the mental health field myself, I knew I could make people feel like they belong here the moment they walk in the building.â
Pauline brings years of leadership and customer service experience, including roles in management, office administration, and being a Supervisor, but she now serves with a deeper convictionâto only go where God sends her.
What she loves most about her role? Being the face of the clinic, speaking life and encouragement to patients, and not just greeting them with a smileâbut helping them leave with one too.
She believes every great medical receptionist should carry:
âš Professionalism
âš A warm smile
âš Patienceâeven in chaos
âš A heart for people
Her most fulfilling accomplishment isnât tied to titlesâbut to the impact sheâs had.
đŹ âIâm grateful that God has chosen me to help people in many different ways.â
She stays motivated by staying prayed upâreminding herself that God is her peace on even the toughest days. Her favorite go-to scripture:
đ âSo the last shall be first, and the first last: for many are called, but few are chosen.â â Matthew 20:16
A few fun facts about Pauline:
âïž Sheâs never flown on a plane or visited New Orleans
đ Her comfort food is chickenââEverybody knows PJ loves her some chicken!â đ
đ¶ Her hobbies include singing, dancing, spending time with family, and making others laugh
đ If she could travel anywhere, sheâd visit the Museum of the Bible and Prayer Mountain, because of her walk with Christ and her love for Godâs presence
đ Her self-care? Prayer room time and solo self-care dates
When asked about people whoâve helped shape her role, she gives flowers to:
â Onâjunnae Hewitt, who trained her and âhelped more than sheâll ever knowâ
â Jennifer Newton, her mentor, whose Christ-centered leadership and patient, firm guidance makes it easy to show up and do the work
Pauline says being spotlighted means the world to her:
đŹ âI believe every employee, no matter their title or how long theyâve been here, deserves to feel valued. And Iâm honored to be recognized today.â
Pauline, thank you for being a light in this clinic, for leading with love, and for showing up each day with purpose, faith, and joy. You make people feel seenâand thatâs a gift to this entire community.
