Our new Dining Director, Aaron Agyeman, dressed in a tuxedo to introduce himself to residents at a special Evening with the Dining Director. The dining team, lead by Executive Chef Bryan Pitt, Executive Sous Chef Jenny Pagoaga, and Food Operations Manager Walter Flores Guzman, prepared a premium menu of entrees for the special event. Residents raved about the meal afterwards, saying things like, "It was a lovely evening seeing so many residents dressed up. Aaron and Bryan put a lot of work into it. Everything was very pretty. The avocado and mango salad was a work of art."

At Westminster at Lake Ridge, residents have many opportunities to provide feedback to the administrative staff, through events like this, The Resident Council and its many committees, and other regular meetings like the Director's Dialogue and departmental forums. Our team is hard at work preparing for the opening of our Memory Support Assisted Living (MSAL) Neighborhood. We call it a neighborhood because we’re embracing a household model of care instead of the traditional approach. Today, Director of Memory Support and Programming, Amy Hewes, and Life Enrichment Manager, Otmar Donald, gave current residents an idea of what a day in MSAL will look like for both residents and staff. From morning to night, residents will be able to make choices that meet their individual needs and provide purpose and meaning to their day. Westminster at Lake Ridge is excited to be adding another care option to our community. Residents from Westminster at Lake Ridge teamed up with friends from our sister communities, Ingleside at King Farm and Ingleside at Rock Creek, for a lively lineup of events. From co****le and pickleball to sponge relays and trivia, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
