This , I will spotlight North County women whose impact on our community deserves to be shared and celebrated.
Today I want to recognize Renee Richardson-Wendee, assisted living administrator at Chateau Lake San Marcos and club secretary for the Rotary Club of Oceanside.
Renee has worked at the resort’s assisted living facility for over 15 years. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she’s been vital in safeguarding those under her care and prevented the kind of tragedy that played out in assisted living facilities across the country.
For more than three decades, Renee has organized Oceanside’s rotary club to positively impact its community. She leads mentorship programs aimed at creating opportunities for at-risk youth, something she started 10 years ago by establishing a program to provide assistance to children in Oceanside’s Crown Heights neighborhood.
